A device for cutting to size and handling a substantially planar blank from a planar CFRP semi-finished product positioned on a cutting table by a cutting means, it being possible for the separated blank to be drawn up by suction and at least raised by a vacuum effector, characterized in that at least one blank electrode can be brought into contact with the blank and at least one peripheral electrode can be brought into contact with a peripheral portion separated from the CFRP semi-finished product and the at least two electrodes are connected to a voltage source and to a measuring means, the measuring means being able to detect a complete separation of the blank from the CFRP semi-finished product.

Additional circuitry is included in an input cell design structure for an integrated circuit to detect and report transitions on an input that was expected to be stable, and to store that event for later analysis. Two or more modified input cells may have their error indications daisy-chained together to minimize additional routing. The storage elements may be included in a scan chain to allow for isolation of which input had the unexpected transition.

A transfer conveyor transports standardized unit loads, such as freight containers, pallets or the like, from a first height level to a second height level, in particular from a higher storage location to a lower transport device. The transfer conveyor is part of a rocker having an adjustable inclination around a pivot axis from one position in which one end of the rocker is aligned with one height level to another position in which the other end of the rocker is aligned with the other height level. Effectiveness and cost-efficiency of the transfer conveyor are created due to the ability of the rocker to be swiveled by the weight of the unit load itself while being transported on the transport conveyor.

The invention relates to a method for performing floating-point instructions within a processor of a data processing system is described, wherein an input of said floating-point instruction comprises a normal or a denormal floating-point number. Said method comprises the steps of storing said floating-point number, normalization of said floating-point number by counting the leading zeros of the mantissa, shifting the fraction part to the left by the number of leading zeros and simultaneously decrementing the exponent by one for every position that the fraction part is shifted to the left, wherein it the input is a normal floating point number the normalization is done after counting no leading zero of the mantissa, execution of a floating point instruction, wherein said normalized floating-point number is utilized as input for the floating point instruction, and storing of a floating-point result. Furthermore a processor to be used to perform said method is described.

Various embodiments are disclosed that relate to serially displaying text on an electronic display using techniques for placement of an optimal recognition position of words at a fixed display location. In some embodiments, an optimal recognition position character is displayed at the fixed display location. In other embodiments, an optimal recognition proportionate position is displayed at the fixed display location. Various related techniques for processing and displaying text are further disclosed herein.

The invention relates to a component arrangement with a first substrate and at least one second substrate arranged on the first substrate, wherein the first substrate has at least one first contact element and the at least one second substrate has at least one second contact element and the contact elements each has a contact surface connected such as to give an electrical contact and a protective layer connecting the first and second substrate together. During production the protective layer is structured such that a part surface of the first substrate and a part surface of the at least one second substrate are not covered, wherein the part surfaces include the contact surfaces of the at least one first and second contact elements and the contact generated between the contact surfaces is hence not contaminated by the protective layer. The contact surfaces are thus freely accessible without elements of the protective layer lying therebetween. An improved electrical conductivity with constant mechanical stability is thus generated.

The invention relates to a device for actuating a locking member (10) of a functionally essential component (40), particularly a steering column (40) of a motor vehicle, having a gear box (20), being operatively connected to the locking member (10), wherein the locking member (10) can be moved into a locked position (1) and into a released position (2), and vice versa, wherein the locking member (10) engages into the functionally essential component (40) in the locked position (1), the locking member (10) is released from the functionally essential component (40) in the released position (2), an actuation device (30) is provided that can be accessed by a user, said actuation device being signal-connected to the gear box (20) during normal operation, by means of which an electronic actuation of the gear box (20) can be effected via an intentional actuation of the actuation device (30), said gear box moving the locking member (10) into the respective position (1, 2) thereof.The invention provides that the actuation device (30) is mechanically decoupled from the gear box (20) during normal operation, and that the actuation device (30) can be mechanically coupled to the gear box (20) during emergency operation such that a movement of the locking member (10) into the respective position (1, 2) thereof, is carried out via manual actuation of the actuation device (30).
