    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize highly reliable and highly accurate folding/unfolding operation while promoting lightening and strengthening.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single crystal-growing unit capable of growing a longer single crystal by inhibiting the growth of boundaries among multiple crystal particles, shortening an un-melted specimen part (a seed crystal), having less limitation in temperature gradient and capable of growing the single crystal at a sufficiently slow cooling rate and inhibiting a corrosion by the specimen, a reaction with the specimen and formation of an alloy. SOLUTION: This single crystal-growing unit is equipped with energizing devices 2, 3 for energizing the specimen 1 in its axial direction, a heat sink for cooling the specimen from its end surface and a sealing container 6 for sealing them. The heat sink is equipped with a heat sink rod 10 making a contact with the central part of the end surface of the specimen, and at least the contacting part 10a of the heat sink rod consists of AlN(aluminum nitrate). Further, the heat sink rod is equipped with a cooling part 10b extended from the contacting part 10a to the end part of the sealing container, and the cooling part consists of copper or a copper alloy.
