Abstract:
The invention relates to a pallet arrangement for a travelator or equivalent, in which arrangement a pallet (1) moving on wheels (4) forms a part of the moving track, said pallet (1) consisting of at least a pallet body (3) and a wearing surface. The body (3) of the pallet consists of at least two profile sections (6 and 7) joined together.
Abstract:
A travelator, moving ramp or escalator, comprising a conveyor (1) and a protective skirting (2) placed beside the conveyor and forming a substantially narrow gap between the protective skirting and the conveyor to prevent objects from getting into said gap when the conveyor is moving. The protective skirting (2) is made from extruded metal profile.
Abstract:
A travelator, moving ramp or escalator for transporting passengers, comprising a conveyor (1); a frame (2; 4, 5) supported on a fixed structure, on which frame the conveyor is mounted; and a handrail (12), which comprises a handrail frame (13) and an endless handrail belt (14) mounted on the handrail frame and arranged as a loop having an upper handhold portion (15) that the passenger can grip with a hand for support and a lower return portion (16) disposed inside the frame (2; 4, 5) . The travelator, moving ramp or escalator comprises a number of suspenders (17) fastened to the frame (2) at a distance from each other to support the return portion (16) of the handrail belt (14).
Abstract:
A travelator, moving ramp or escalator for transporting passengers, comprising a conveyor (1) and a frame (2) supported on a fixed structure, on which frame the conveyor is mounted. The frame (2) comprises a number of mutually identical profiled metallic bodies (3) joined together end to end one after the other and containing coupling, supporting and/or guide elements integrated in the said one profiled metallic body of solid material.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a travelator or moving ramp and a method for servicing it. The travelator or moving ramp contains a conveyor (1) and the travelator or moving ramp is modular such that the travelator comprises a center module (2) essentially fixed in its position, which comprises a main part the length of the conveyor (1) , and at least one end module (3, 4) detachably connected to the center module (2) , which comprises a section of the conveyor shorter than the main part as well as the serviceable objects. In the method the travelator or moving ramp is stopped and closed to traffic. The end module requiring servicing is detached from the center module (2) . Then a new or serviced end module (3', 4') is connected to the center module (2) . The end module (3, 4) requiring servicing is transported away from the travelator or moving ramp for servicing at the servicing site. The travelator or moving ramp is started and opened to traffic .

Abstract:
A people mover, such as a travelator, moving ramp or escalator, comprising a conveyor (1). The conveyor comprises a frame (6), which comprises a first frame part (7), which is secured to a fixed structure, and a second frame part (8), which is mounted to be movable in relation to the first frame part in its longitudinal direction, said first and second frame parts being arranged one after the other. Transport platforms (11) are secured to a first drive element (9) and a second drive element (10), said drive elements being endless elements. A first tensioning device (16) tensions the first drive element (9) and a second tensioning device (17) tensions the second drive element (10), and each tensioning device acts between the first frame part (7) and the second frame part (8). The conveyor (1) comprises mechanical transmission elements (18) between the first tensioning device (16) and the second tensioning device (17) for keeping the stroke lengths of the first and the second tensioning movements equal.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a pallet arrangement for a travelator or equivalent, in which arrangement a pallet (1) moving on wheels (3) forms part of the track and which pallet consists of at least a pallet body (2) and at least one surfacing element (5) attached to the body (2). The surfacing element (5) is fastened to the body (2) of the pallet (1) by means of one or more coupling elements (8) provided at least in the surfacing element (5) and a shape-locking groove (10) provided in the body (2) as well as a locking element (13, 14) so that in the locking operation the locking movement and in the releasing operation the releasing movement has been arranged to act on all the coupling elements (8) in the shape-locking groove (10) substantially simultaneously.
Abstract:
A travelator, moving ramp or escalator for transporting people, comprising a people mover (1); a balustrade (2) extending alongside the people mover throughout its length. The balustrade comprises a handrail belt (3) formed as an endless loop and having an upper handhold portion (4), which the passenger can grasp with a hand for support, a lower return portion (5), and a turn-around portion (6) between the handhold portion and the return portion. The balustrade frame (7) comprises a turn-around guide (8) at the end of the balustrade to form a so-called turn-around to support and guide the turn-around portion (6) of the handrail belt. The turn-around guide (8) comprises a number of pressure rollers (9) arranged as a sequence in the form of a circular arc, spaced by a distance from each other. In addition, a drive assembly (10) is provided to move the handrail belt. The drive assembly comprises a drive belt (11) formed as an endless loop and having a contact portion (12), which is in driving contact with the handrail belt (3) over a predetermined length, and a power means (13) for driving the drive belt. The contact portion (12) of the drive belt (11) is passed over the sequence of pressure rollers (9) between the pressure rollers (9) and the turnaround portion (6) of the handrail belt (3).
