PURPOSE: A composition containing a Camellia sinensis leaf extract, a Camellia sinensis flower extract, and a Camellia sinensis seed extract as active ingredients is provided to activate AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), to suppress fatty acid synthesis, and to promote fatty acid oxidation and glucose absorption, thereby preventing and treating metabolic syndrome. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating metabolic syndrome contains a Camellia sinensis leaf extract, a Camellia sinensis flower extract, and a Camellia sinensis seed extract as active ingredients, in a weight ratio of 4-12:0.3-4:0.3-4. The composition contains the Camellia sinensis leaf extract and the Camellia sinensis flower and seed extracts in a weight ratio of 4-12:0.2-8. The metabolic syndrome is a glucoside metabolic syndrome or a lipid metabolic syndrome. The metabolic syndrome includes one or more among obesity, hyperlipidemia, type 2 diabetes, arteriosclerosis, myocardial infarction, and angina pectoris. A method for preparing green tea having scent of Cymbidium-kanran is provided to improve green tea flavor and visual preference by mixing marigold flowers and coating green tea with Cymbidium kanran scent. A method for preparing green tea having scent of Cymbidium-kanran comprises the following steps of: adding Cymbidium-kanran scent to dried green tea leaf; and mixing marigold flowers to the dried green tea leaf with Cymbidium-kanran scent. 0.1-15wt% of Cymbidium-kanran scent is added to the green tea leaf on a basis of the green tea leaf. 0.5-20wt% of marigold flowers is added to the green tea leaf with Cymbidium-kanran scent on a basis of the green tea leaf.

The present invention relates to green tea with a rape flower flavor having excellent palatability and a production method of same, and more specifically, to green tea with a rape flower flavor having excellent palatability by coating green tea produced by an announced method with the rape flower flavor and mixing rape flower petals with the coated green tea, and a production method of same. According to the present invention, a flavor which a user could not feel from existing green tea is expressed by offering the rape flower flavor to the single taste of the green tea, and the unique fresh flavor and astringent taste of the green tea are masked, thereby providing the green tea with the rape flower flavor with improved palatability.

PURPOSE: Flavored tea with improved palatability and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve stability and taste of the tea by masking bitter and astringent taste after adding flavor in green tea, black tea or a mixture of the tea. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of flavored tea includes a step for manufacturing the flavored tea by mixing granulated flavor and granulated sugar in the dried green tea, black tea or a mixture of the tea. The liquid flavor is formed by mixing anhydrous crystal glucose, dextrin, or sorbitol. The liquid flavor is Cheju orchid flavor, red papaya flavor, mocha flavor, tropical fruit flavor, candy flavor, cherry flavor, or chocolate flavor. The granulated sugar is made of altodextrine, cyclodextrin, sugar, isomerized sugar, glucose, crystalline fructose, superfine sugar fructose, lactose, xylose or maltose.

CONSTITUTION: A daily tea consists of Monday tea, Tuesday tea, Wednesday tea, Thursday, Friday, Saturday tea, and Sunday tea. The Monday tea comprises peach, hibiscus, apple, and elderberry at a ratio of 3.5:3.5:2:1 by weight. The Tuesday tea comprises hibiscus, rosehip, apple, blueberry, and black currant at a ratio of 3:3:2:1.5:0.5 by weight. The Wednesday tea comprises buckwheat and lemon grass. The Thursday tea comprises green tea and black beans. The Friday tea comprises orange-flavoring black tea, and orange peel and ginger at a ratio of 3 to 1. The Saturday tea is green tea. The Sunday tea is vanilla-flavoring black tea and mangoes.

A composition containing (-)catechin is provided to increase expression of adiponectin by inhibiting expression of a transition factor KLF7(Kruppel-like factor 7) and promotes sugar absorption in adipocytes of mammals, so that the composition is useful for preventing and treating diabetes mellitus, arteriosclerosis and obesity. A composition for preventing and treating diabetes mellitus, arteriosclerosis and obesity contains 0.01-30 wt.%, preferably 1-15 wt.% of (-)catechin represented by the formula(1), wherein the (-)catechin is isolated from green tea. The daily dosage of (-)catechin is 0.1-50 mg/kg, preferably 1-20 mg/kg and the expression of adiponectin in a mammal adipocyte is increased by treating an adipocyte with (-)catechin for 24 hours.
