Abstract: PURPOSE: A pickering emulstion composition of water-in-oil type for UV protection is provided to improve persistence and to improve stability. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition of water-in-oil type for UV protection contains: one or more among titatnum dioxide and zinc oxide; an oil phase containing silica dimethylsilylate; and an aqueous phase containing polyvinyl pyrrolidone. The composition contains 20-70 weight% of oil phase and 30-80 weight% of aqueous phase. The titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are treated by organic acid or triethoxycarprylic silane or dimethicone.
