Abstract:
PURPOSE: A DNA marker containing SNP of PPARGC1A gene 3'UTR region is provided to improve meat quality and to select individuals with high quality. CONSTITUTION: A DNA marker for detecting pork meat quality contains 15-800 continuous sequences with 2956th base, C, in sequence number 1. A primer for detecting SNP relating meat quality increase in the 3'UTR region contains an oligonucleotide of sequence numbers 2 and 3. A method for detecting increase of meat quality in a pig comprises: a step of isolating genomic DNA from the pig; a step of amplifying a specific site containing 2956th base of 3'UTR; a step of analyzing a base sequence of amplifies DNA; and a step of identifying substitution of 2956th base from T to C.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A DNA marker containing SNP of primary microRNA is provided to enhance muscle fiber type I in pork muscle fiber and to increase pH concentration. CONSTITUTION: A DNA marker for detecting increase of pork meat quality contains 15-600 serial sequences including 495th base, C, in sequence number 1. A primer for detecting meat quality increase-associated SNP in a pork microRNA-133b precursor contains an oligonucleotide of sequences 3 and 4. A kit for SNP analysis contains HphI which is a restriction enzyme for analyzing RFLP, the primer, and PCR reaction mixture.
