    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for transdifferentiation of mesenchymal stem cells into endodermal cells is provided to induce differentiation into endodermal cells including hepatocytes or pancreatic cells. CONSTITUTION: A method for transdifferentiation of mesenchymal stem cells into endodermal cells comprises a step of isolating the mesenchymal stem cells into single cells and forming a sphere. The formation of the sphere comprises a step of adding B27 to a DMEM-low glucose medium. The mesenchymal stem cells are umbilical cord blood-derived mesenchymal stem cells. The medium further contains okadaic acid.
