Abstract: A fixed data acquisition system related driving vehicle using laser is provided to detect traffic volume by monitoring the distance variation profile of the vehicle passing the two laser beam. In a fixed data acquisition system related driving vehicle using laser, a distance measuring unit(11) recognizes the drive pulse of the pulse generating section(8). The pulse power of the pulse generating unit is applied to the laser diode drive unit(7) through the transmission unit(1). The laser diode drive unit converts the pulse power into the laser output power. The laser output power is irradiated as the predetermined spot through the radiation lens. The laser reflected from the vehicles or the surface is projected in the APD(Avalanche Photo Diode)(9) through the light accepting lens(5) and a filter. The APD converts the received pulse into the electric signal. The receiver(2) generates the electric signal according to electric signal. The pulse receiving part(10) generates the predetermined pulse power. The predetermined pulse power is applied to the distance measuring unit. The distance measuring unit calculates difference between the receive timing and the shooting time of laser.
