Abstract: The present invention relates to a colored photosensitive resin composition and a light shielding spacer using the same. The colored photosensitive resin composition of the present invention comprises: (1) a polymer containing (a-1) a component unit derived from a polymerizable compound including N-substituted maleimide group, (a-2) a component unit derived from an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid, an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride, and a mixture thereof, and (a-3) a component unit derived from an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid containing an aromatic ring; (2) a coloring agent; (3) at least one compound selected from either a polymerizable unsaturated compound or an oligomer having an epoxy group; and (4) a photopolymerization initiator of chemical formula 1, and can make difference between a full tone and a half tone so as to be effectively used in forming a pattern of the light shielding spacer.
