PURPOSE: A data storing device and data storing method are provided to maximize the recycling efficiency of a buffer memory and to minimize the fluctuation by the bank collision of a main storing device. CONSTITUTION: Buffer memory usage of a buffer memory is greater than a predetermined threshold value(S1000). The maximum cost about each page or a super page is calculated(S2000). The page having maximum cost or super-page is selected as a victim cache line(S3000). The execution timing of NPJ is scheduled(S4000).
Abstract:
An adaptive adjustment method of user storage area of a non-volatile memory system comprises the following: a host sends a user area information request order to the non-volatile memory system; the host receives the user area information sent from the non-volatile memory system; the host changes the user area information; and the host sends a user area information setting order to the non-volatile memory system to set the changed user area information to the non-volatile memory system. The non-volatile memory system can control the volume of the user storage area in response to user area information.

PURPOSE: A storage apparatus, stream filtering method, and data storage apparatus including a non-volatile memory apparatus are provided to offer an effective data processing function by effectively merging processing results through the merger filter. CONSTITUTION: A filter manager(23) stores material type information and filtering condition provided from a host. Stream filters(26_1-26_N) extracts and searches data stored in the memory units of a main storage unit by responding to the control of the filter management unit. A merge filter(25) merges a extraction result with searching result searched from the stream filter by responding to the control of the filter management unit. The material type information and the filtering condition are freely established by the host.

A page replacement method is provided. The page replacement method includes (a) establishing a first page list in which a plurality of pages in a main memory are listed in an order that they have been used, (b) establishing a second page list in which some of the pages in the main memory whose images are stored in a storage medium are listed in an order that they have been used, and (c) storing data downloaded from the storage medium in the pages included in the second page list in an order opposite to the order that the corresponding pages are listed in the second page list.
