Abstract: A duct type air conditioner and a method for controlling discharge flow thereof are provided to prevent a noise and deterioration of performance of a duct type air conditioner by appropriately controlling discharge flow regardless of an installation condition, discharge optimum discharge flow from each branch duct by controlling discharge flow balance of each branch duct, and accurately controlling discharge flow and discharge flow balance by automatically control discharge flow and discharge flow balance of the duct type air conditioner. A blower fan is driven to discharge indoor air passing through a case into a room by way of a connecting duct and branch ducts(50). An anemometer of each branch duct measures wind velocity of each branch duct to transmit the measured wind velocity to a microcomputer(52). The microcomputer multiplies the wind velocity of each branch duct by a cross section of each branch duct, and adds up the values to calculate discharge flow(54). The microcomputer judges whether the calculated discharge flow is equal to standard discharge flow(56). If not, the microcomputer controls RPM(Revolutions Per Minute) of the blower fan by referring to discharge flow data in comparison with RPM of the blower fan stored in a data storing unit(58). If so, the microcomputer judges whether discharge wind velocity of each branch duct is equal to standard wind velocity(60). If not, the microcomputer drives a damper motor of the corresponding branch duct to change opening of a damper(62).

Abstract: A pipe holder is provided to hold pipes adjacent to each other at an angle for isolating vibration transmitted through piping. A pipe holder(10) has a first fixing member(100) installed on a first pipe(20) and a second fixing member(200) on a second pipe(30). The first fixing member has a first assembly hole(110) for the insertion and fixation of the first pipe while the second fixing member has a second assembly hole(210) for the insertion and fixation of the second pipe. The first fixing member has a first slit(120) forming a passageway from outer surface of the first fixing member to inner surface of the first assembly hole while the second fixing member has a second slit(220) forming a passageway from outer surface of the second fixing member to inner surface of the second assembly hole. Both the first and the second fixing member are made of an elastic material so that the first pipe and the second pipe are inserted to the corresponding assembly hole and assembled to the corresponding fixing member by opening corresponding slits. A first assembly groove(140) is formed on outer surface of the first fixing member along the out periphery of the first assembly hole to provide a space for inserting a band-shaped fastener(40) such as a cable tie. A second assembly groove(250) is formed on outer surface of the second fixing member along the out periphery of the second assembly hole to provide a space for inserting a band-shaped fastener(50) such as a cable tie.
