Abstract: A security device using a mobile communication terminal and a method thereof are provided to transmit security information through Bluetooth communication if the terminal is positioned in a communication zone communicable with the security device by using a Bluetooth communication function of the terminal, so as to automatically open the security device, and to close the security device if the Bluetooth communication is terminated. A mobile communication terminal receives a satellite signal to confirm whether the terminal is positioned in an area communicable with a security device(201-205). The terminal transmits a Bluetooth address to the security device to demand a communication connection(207-215). If the received Bluetooth address is a communication-allowable Bluetooth address, the security device receives security information from the terminal(219).
