Abstract: A method for effectively displaying in a mobile terminal is provided to remove user inconvenience that characters of a document is too small to read due to a restriction in a size of a display unit. In a state that a document to be read is displayed on a display unit, it is checked whether a line display mode is selected(301,303,305,307). When the line display mode is selected, a part of the document from which display by lines will start is selected and the number of lines to be displayed at once is checked(309,311). The part from which display by lines will start and part determined by the number of lines to be displayed are displayed on the display unit(313).

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for automatically converting a communication mode according to speech quality in a mobile terminal are provided to solve a problem that conversation in a video call or voice call is frequently cut off or delayed. A controller sets a communication channel in a bi-directional communication mode and transmits/receives a traffic packet to/from a terminal of the other party(201). The controller extracts header information from the traffic packet received from the terminal of the other party to measure QoS(Quality of Service) of the packet(203) and checks whether the measured QoS is smaller than a reference value(205). When the measured QoS is smaller than the reference value, the controller requests QoS improvement from a network(207). The controller extracts time stamp information and a sequence number from a traffic packet which is received next to measure QoS of the packet(209). The controller checks whether the measured QoS is smaller than the reference value to determine whether the QoS has been successfully improved(211). If the QoS improvement fails, the controller displays the fact that the QoS of the communication channel has been degraded and a corresponding service is stopped on a display unit for user information, and automatically converts the corresponding mode(213).
