Abstract: PURPOSE: An image display portable communication terminal and an image display method in the same are provided to display certain image information stored in the communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting and receiving unit(201) transmits or receives a call signal through an antenna. A call signal generating unit(2021) corresponds to voice information and image information, generates a call signal, and transmits the call signal to the transmitting and receiving unit(201). A directory management unit(204) stores a telephone number of an object and image information corresponding to the telephone number. An output unit(203) outputs a voice signal and an image signal from the call signal received from the transmitting and receiving unit(201). If image information is not included in the call signal received from the transmitting and receiving unit(201), the output unit(203) extracts image information linked with the telephone number of the object from the directory management unit(204) and displays extracted image information.
