Abstract: PURPOSE: A service quality guarantee method of a voice packet network in a portable internet system and a device thereof are provided to decrease the loss or delay of packets, thereby minimizing the loss or delay of packets compared with artificial packet compensation method through a jitter buffer. CONSTITUTION: A QoS(Quality of Service) measurement unit(1042) measures QoS through voice packets received from the opposite terminal in a voice call in order to perform a test. If the QoS is unable to satisfy a specified level, a control unit generates a message requesting guarantee of the QoS and transmits the message to a network. A routing management unit of a router detects the message from the voice packet. When the message is detected, the routing management unit controls the routing priority of the voice packets highly, updates a routing table, and routes the voice packet.

Abstract: A method and a device for performing interface in a WiBro(Wireless Broadband) system terminal are provided to reduce complexity and current consumption by setting a pad value for a sleep mode with a sleep number signal, and reduce a load of a CPU by automatically performing setting with the sleep number signal.
