Abstract: An evaporator and a refrigerator including the same are provided to cool an inner box while refrigerant passes through a side surface cooling section for a long time. A refrigerator includes a housing(10), an inner box(11), and an evaporator(60). The housing forms the appearance of the refrigerator. The inner box is disposed in the housing to form a storage chamber in which an article is stored. The evaporator is disposed on the outer side of the inner box to absorb heat from the inner box. At least two side surface cooling sections are disposed on symmetrically provided first and second side surfaces. The length of the side surface cooling section located downstream in the flow direction of refrigerant is longer than that of the side surface cooling section located upstream in the flow direction of the refrigerant. The front side of the inner box is opened to form the storage chamber. The evaporator includes a first side surface cooling section and a second side surface cooling section. The length of the second side surface cooling section is longer than that of the first side surface cooling section.
