Abstract: 냉장고 및 그 제어방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 제상과정에서 발생하는 제상열에 의해 저장실의 온도가 상승하는 것을 방지하고, 효율적인 냉장 및 냉동 운전을 수행하기 위한 기술에 관한 것이다. 일 실시예에 따른 냉장고는, 본체, 본체 내부에 마련되는 제 1저장실 및 제 2저장실, 제 1저장실에 마련되어 냉기를 생성하는 제 1증발기, 제 2저장실에 마련되어 냉기를 생성하는 제 2증발기, 제 1증발기 및 제 2증발기 중 적어도 하나로 냉매를 공급하는 전환 밸브 및 제 1증발기로 공급되는 냉매 및 제 2증발기로 공급되는 냉매가 미리 정해진 기준에 따라 분배되도록 전환 밸브를 제어하는 제어 신호를 생성하고, 생성된 제어 신호에 기초하여 제 1저장실 및 제 2저장실의 온도를 미리 정해진 온도로 낮추는 제어부를 포함한다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A refrigerator having valve, for controlling refrigerant supplied to a plurality of storage rooms, and a control method thereof are provided to reduce horizontal temperature variation of storage rooms by varying the on/off time rate of a refrigerant valve according to the setup mode of each storage room. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises a plurality of storage rooms, a valve(141), and a controller(110). The valve comprises a plurality of outlet ports for supplying refrigerant to each storage room. When the controller supplies refrigerant to a plurality of storage rooms, controls the valve in order to open one outlet port of multiples. The controller controls the on/off time of the valve according to the setup mode of the storage room that the refrigerant is supplied. The controller a rate of the refrigerant, divided to each storage room, according to the setup mode of storage rooms. The controller controls the amount of the refrigerant, supplied to each storage room, based on the time rate corresponding to the setup time of the storage room.

The defrost heaters starts operation if the ventilation fans start operation.

Abstract: A refrigerator is provided to prevent reverse flow of refrigerant through an outlet of an upper evaporation refrigerant pipe to a lower evaporation refrigerant pipe by providing a trap section at an outlet of a lower evaporation refrigerant pipe. A refrigerator includes a housing, upper and lower inner boxes, and upper and lower evaporation refrigerant pipes(61,62). The housing forms the appearance of the refrigerator. The upper and lower inner boxes are disposed on the upper and lower sides of the housing to form storage chambers in which articles are stored. The upper and lower evaporation refrigerant pipes make contact with the outer sides of the upper and lower inner boxes to absorb heat from the upper and lower inner boxes. The refrigerant from the upper evaporation refrigerant pipe is prevented from being reversely flown and introduced into the lower evaporation pipe by a trap section provided in the lower evaporation refrigerant pipe. The refrigerator includes a compressor sucking the refrigernat from the upper and lower evaporation refrigerant pipes.
