Abstract: A method for setting up the output volume of audio signals to prevent an acoustic shock and a mobile terminal for the same are provided to previously prevent an acoustic shock by outputting audio signals after determining an output volume value by a preset reference volume value. If a call is terminated, a control part judges whether the terminated call is a picture call or a voice call(200,210). In case that the terminated call is a picture call, the control part displays a call connection screen when a call connection is made. Then the control part outputs audio signals in a normal speaker mode(220). The audio signals are outputted at a default volume value. If a request to adjust the output volume of audio signals is inputted(240), the control part changes the present normal speaker mode to a speaker mode and increase the output volume of audio signals(250).
