Abstract: A method for displaying information for touch input in a portable terminal having a touch screen is provided to improve convenience and display a change of information in displaying associated information for a user's touch input operation. If a touch input signal containing the coordinates of a touched area is transmitted from the touch screen of a portable terminal(S71), a control part confirms whether the movement of the touched area is generated(S72). If the touched area is moved, the control part extracts a movement value from a change of the coordinates of the touched area(S73). The control part obtains the moving direction of the touched area from the extracted movement value(S74). If it is determined that there is no more touch input transmission from the touch screen(S78), the control part extinguishes the displayed current mode icon(S79).

Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a headset is provided to solve a noise generated by an inherent structure of a headset jack of terminal when a headset plug is inserted in the headset jack of terminal. CONSTITUTION: When a headset plug for hand-free inserted in a headset jack(400), the second and the third pins(2,3) and the fourth and the fifth pins(4,5) of the jack are opened. Because the second and the third pins(2,3) are opened, a connection between a speaker(320) and a voice processing part(100) is cut off and a speaker of headset(not shown) is connected to the voice processing part by the second and the sixth pins(2,6), then an output from the voice processing part is coupled to the speaker(320). Furthermore, because the fourth and the fifth pins(4,5) are opened, a connection between an inverse input of comparator(U3) and a transistor(Q1) and a voltage level of the inverse input of comparator(U3) is switched to a voltage level applied by a voltage source(VCC) via a pull-up resistor(R1), then a plug insertion signal outputted from the comparator(U3) is transferred to a low state. When a control part(600) detects the low state, the control part(600) determines that the plug is being inserted into the jack(400) of headset and initializes a counter(600) in order to obtain the first time delay before transferring a headset enable signal(HEADSET-EN) from a high state to a low state.
