Abstract: PURPOSE: An LCD for driving a second display unit by data and gate driving chips for a first display unit by electrically connecting the two display units by a flexible circuit board. CONSTITUTION: An LCD includes first and second LC display units(200,300) for displaying first and second images, and a flexible circuit board(110) electrically connecting the first and second LC display units to each other. The flexible circuit board is connected to first and second TFT substrates(210,310) of the first and second LC display units, wherein display surfaces of the first and second display units are opposite. The flexible circuit board is applied with the data and gate signals from the first one and send them to the second one.

Abstract: A display device is provided to prevent the deterioration of display quality due to resistance difference between lines by forming a zigzag part in a signal line having a line resistance relatively smaller than other signal lines. A display substrate includes a display area where gate lines and data lines cross each other with a gate-insulating layer therebetween, and first to fourth peripheral areas surrounding four sides of the display area. A counter substrate is disposed oppositely to the display substrate with a liquid crystal layer therebetween. A driving chip is mounted in the first peripheral area of the display substrate, which neighbors first end portions of the gate lines. The data lines are connected to the driving chip by a zigzag part(250). The display substrate includes first signal lines(DS1) alternatively arranged with the gate-insulating layer therebetween, and second signal lines(DS2) having high resistivity than the first signal lines. Each of the first signal lines has a zigzag part to balance line resistances with the second signal lines.
