Abstract: A vacuum cleaner is provided to reduce pressure loss and noise generated when air passes through a discharge filter by installing the discharge filter having a large size. A vacuum cleaner includes a body(10), a dust collecting unit(20), a blowing fan unit, a discharge passage(16), a discharge filter(18), and a discharge filter exchange unit(50). Abstract: A method for reducing noise of a refrigerator is provided to vary an rpm of a compressor for making a sound quality index for environmental noise during the operation of the refrigerator purchase a sound quality index for environmental noise when the refrigerator is not in operation, thereby maximizing the noise reduction of the refrigerator without deteriorating the performance of the refrigerator. The measured environmental noise is compared with that set in advance in silent environment(S203). If the measured one is larger than the set one, an rpm of the compressor is carried out. The rpm of the compressor, which is in operation, is increased or decreased for making the calculated sound quality index reach a reference sound quality index, which is set in consideration of users' satisfaction degree(S206-S209).
