A media data transmission device and method, and a media data receiving device and method are provided to perform multiplexing by recurrently packetizing packets of a packetized layer into packets of the packetized layer again even without passing through a separate multiplexing stage or a multiplexing device, thereby simplifying a media data transmission method. It is determined whether to multiplex each of inputted media data based on properties of the media data(S610). With regards to the media data determined for multiplexing, at least one stream identifier for identifying packetized layer packets of the media data is determined(S620). The media data is packetized to generate packets of the packetized layer identified by the stream identifiers(S630). The packets are transmitted(S640).
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for updating decoding information are provided to transmit decoding update schedule information of the media data and reduce a data processing quantity and the complexity of a data process to shorten the encoding time of the media data. A media stream generating unit(312) generates at least one media data as one media stream. A decoding information generating unit(314) generates at least one decoding information of the media stream and information for scheduling the update of the decoding information. A transmitting unit(316) transmits the media stream, the decoding information, and the information for scheduling the update of the decoding information. A media data receiving device(330), which includes a receiving unit(332) and a decoding unit(334), receives and processes a media stream transmitted from a media data transmitting device(310).

본 발명은 미디어 객체 기반 메타데이터의 생성 방법, 재생 방법 및 그 장치에 관한 것으로, 미디어 객체들을 포함하는 미디어 스트림; 및 미디어 객체들의 각각에 대응하는 메타데이터들을 포함하는 메타데이터 스트림을 포함하고, 미디어 객체들은 메타데이터들에 접근하기 위한 위치 정보를 포함하도록 함으로써, 컨텐츠의 실시간 재생 및 수정을 용이하게 하는 효과가 있다.
