Abstract: A microwave oven includes a direct current (DC) power supply unit (10) which supplies DC power to a magnetron (7) so as to suppress noise induced in a high voltage line. The DC power supply unit (10) includes at least one rectifying diode (D) and a choke coil (11). The rectifying diode (D) rectifies high frequency alternating current (AC) power generated by a heater winding (L3) into the DC power to suppress noise induced in the high voltage line of a high voltage transformer (4). The choke coil (11) forms ripples in the DC power and effectively prevents a moding of the magnetron (7), which is generated where a constant DC voltage is supplied.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A circuit for attenuating inrush current in a microwave oven is provided to attenuate inrush current, generated when initial power is supplied to an oscillation circuit to drive each RF generator, in a microwave oven comprising at least two RF generators. The first inrush current attenuation circuit attenuates inrush current generated at the first oscillation circuit part(30). In case that current flows on the circuit due to the malfunction of the first safety switch(31), the first monitor switch(32) forms a short circuit and stably interrupts the current on the circuit by melting a fuse(fuse1). The first RF generator(35) comprises the first magnetron(36) and a high voltage transformer(HVT1). The high voltage transformer(HVT1) supplies oscillation power to the first magnetron(36).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A microwave oven is provided to prevent electric conductivity from lowering by fitting a conductive reinforcing panel between a wire and a PCB(Printed Circuit Board). CONSTITUTION: Circuit elements are installed in a PCB(20) of a microwave oven to operate a circuit by receiving direct current, and conductive copper plates(22) are mounted in the PCB. An assembling hole(24) is formed in the center of the copper plate to insert a screw(26), and four fitting holes(25) are formed around the assembling hole. The screw is inserted to the copper plate, and combined with a first nut(28A). The threaded part of the screw is combined with a power connector(27), and assembled with a second nut(28B). A conductive reinforcing panel(30) is installed between the first nut and the PCB. A screw hole(30A) is formed in the center of the reinforcing panel, and four assembling legs(30B) are formed in the edges of the reinforcing panel to insert to fitting holes. The upper part of the reinforcing panel is embossed to improve assembling torque by reducing contact resistance. The electric conductivity is prevented from lowering with soldering the assembling legs of the reinforcing panel.

본 발명에 의하면, 입력교류전원이 정격전원보다 더 낮더라도 고압 트랜스포머의 출력측인 2차권선으로부터 일정크기의 전압을 출력받으므로서, 마그네트론을 정상적으로 구동시킬 수 있게 된다. 따라서, 조리시 음식물을 완전히 익힐 수 있으며, 조리시간을 정확히 세팅할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
