    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device is provided to overlap a lower polarizing plate with first and second gate driving circuits to reduce radiation intensity supplied to an area having the first and second gate driving circuits to prevent deterioration of thin film transistors formed at the first and second gate driving circuits. A liquid crystal panel(10) displays an image. A first gate driving circuit(13) and a second gate driving circuit are formed on both sides of the liquid crystal panel to drive gate lines of the liquid crystal panel. An upper polarizing plate(21) is attached to an upper part of the liquid crystal panel. A lower polarizing plate is attached to a lower part of the liquid crystal panel, overlapped with the first and second gate driving circuits.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A display controller and a display device including the same are provided to increase a switching speed between pages of an image displayed on a display panel. CONSTITUTION: A first interface(110) receives data(DTA) and a control signal(CTL) from the outside. A second interface(120) provides a transition signal(TRS) corresponding to a transition request(TRQ) to a control unit(130). A memory unit(160) stores a part of data(PDTA) processed before the activation of the transition signal. A memory management unit(150) maps a virtual address(VA) of an image(IMG) displayed on a display panel with a physical address of data stored in the memory unit. The control unit controls the memory management unit and a processing unit in response to the control signal.

A de-interlacing unit(170) de-interlaces the previous field and the present field to generate a first progressive frame and de-interlaces the present field and the nest filed to generate a second progressive frame.
