Abstract: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and an electronic device including the same are provided to utilize a space and increase the number of button switches by installing a button switch in an inactive region where an image is not displayed. A plurality of button switches are displayed in an inactive region of an LCD where an image is not displayed. A button body(460) is installed over at least two of the button switches. The button switch includes a first switch pattern and a second switch pattern(426) spaced apart from each other in the inactive region, and a dome button(430) having a lower outer circumferential surface placed on the first switch pattern and an upper convex surface placed on the second switch pattern. Abstract: A data line driving method and a flat panel display device using the same are provided to reduce power consumption by controlling a data transmission to a driver according to the comparison between generated and stored gray scale data. A flat panel display device includes a flat display panel(100), a controller(500), and a source driver(300). The flat display panel includes pixels(110) which are formed on the cross section of data lines(G1~Gn) and data lines(D1~Dm). The controller sequentially generates gray scale data on the pixels, compares temporary stored gray scale data with the current gray scale data, and generates a selection signal corresponding to the comparison result. The source driver temporarily stores the gray scale data and drives plural data lines according to the selection signal. The controller supplies a selection signal except for the current gray data to the source driver, when the temporary stored gray scale data is the same as the current generated gray scale data.
