Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method and a device for estimating moving speed of a terminal in a wireless communication system are provided to accurately estimate moving speed of a terminal. CONSTITUTION: When a UE(User Equipment) moves to a cell controlled by another ENB(Evolved Node B) of a wireless communication system, a cell size information transmitting unit(501) transmits size information of cells to which the UE moves during a set period and a cell controlled by the ENB to another ENB. A terminal speed estimating unit(502) estimates moving speed of the UE using size information of the cell. A transmission power measuring unit(504) measures transmission power of a downlink signal transmitted to a cell coverage edge of the ENB.

PURPOSE: A method and a system for allocating cell identification data are provided to improve identification performance between individual base stations in a communication system. CONSTITUTION: A management server initially allocates temporary cell identification data to a first base station(313). The first base station transmits the synchronization signal(315). The mobile terminal connected to the second base station grasps cell identification data of the synchronization signal(317). If the collision of cell identification data occurs, the second base station reports the collision of the cell identification data to a cell management server(321,323). The cell management server allocates the cell identification data to the first base station again(325).

A communicating device using a network coding method and a method thereof are provided to transmit a network coding message generated according to the network coding method in the same time interval to a base station and a terminal, thereby reducing the number of time intervals required for transmitting a message to the base station and the terminal. A relay device comprises a message receiver, a message generator, and a message transmitter. The message receiver receives a downlink message transmitted from a base station and an uplink message transmitted from a terminal. The message generator codes the downlink message and the uplink message according to a network coding technique to generate a network coding message. The message transmitter transmits the network coding message to the base station and the terminal during the same time interval.

A multicasting device and a method thereof which a control of a mobile communication system is as a multicast control group are provided to use wireless resource between a base station and a mobile terminal efficiently by transmitting control signal to the terminal performing control operation. A controller(610) comprises user terminals performing the same control operation with a multicast control group among user terminals connected to the base station device. An allocation unit(620) assigns the multicast control channel to the group. A transmit unit(630) transmits the same control signal related to the control operation with user terminals belonging to the multicast control group by using the multicast control channel.

An apparatus and a method for controlling an error in a data transmission system including a relay station are provided to decode data without the error by assembling previously-transmitted data and re-transmitted data when the re-transmitted data has an error. According to a relay station(100) transmitting data received from a transmitter(140) to a receiver(150), a data receiving part receives data from the transmitter. An error detection part detects the error generation of the received data. A data transmitting part transmits the received data and an error generation indicator for the received data to the receiver, when the received data has an error.

A parallel transmission method through multiple radio links is provided to increase or adjust system capacity and relay capacity by using more than one radio interface and to rapidly transmit packets by announcing the successful transmission of an upper layer packet through the signaling of each radio access entity of a lower layer. A transmitter and a receiver in a wireless communication system operate MRA(Multi-Radio Access) interfaces through their respective MRLC(Multiple Radio Link Control) layers(110,120). Each of the MRLC layers(110,120) comprises an MRT sublayer(113) and an RA sublayer(115). The MRT sublayer(113) processes upper layer data. The RA sublayer(115) transmits the upper layer data, processed and transferred from the MRT sublayer(113), through a radio link. The RA sublayer(115) receives signals through the radio link and delivers them to the MRT sublayer(113) in order. In the MRT sublayer(113), one MRT entity(114) covers transmission/reception for one upper layer service. In the RA sublayer(115), a plurality of RA entities(117,118) can be activated for one MRT entity(114) according to communication environments. The RA entities(117,118) correspond to wireless interfaces which cover respective different radio frequency spectrums. For example, while the first RA entity(117) is covering a 802.11 wireless interface, the second RA entity(118) can cover a 802.16 wireless interface. Each MRLC layer(110,120) has a multiple radio resource management module(112) to control and manage the MRT sublayer(113) and the RA sublayer(115).
