Abstract: PURPOSE: An image system using a multi-view image and an image processing method thereof are provided to produce a stereoscopic image by the usage of a multi-view image and parallax information. CONSTITUTION: A pre-processing unit(120) corrects a photographed multi-view image. A stereo image matching unit(130) performs a block matching about the multi-view image. The stereo image matching unit computes a matching error around a current pixel. The stereo image matching unit estimates a parallax value. An object extraction unit(140) extracts an object from a reference image by the usage of the reference image and the parallax value. A synthesis unit(150) synthesizes the extracted object and a background image. Abstract: PURPOSE: An image processing method and an apparatus thereof through a repetition pattern are provided to efficiently match an image including a plurality of repetition patterns and to efficiently recognize an image including a repetition pattern.
