    Abstract: The present invention provides a flame retardant material which is expanded when heated to fulfill a flame retardant function. The flame retardant material according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: nanoclay which has a plurality of layers; a polymer which is mixed with the nanoclay; and a foaming induction agent which foams when heated to be expanded in volume, and contains a dehydrogenated material and a carbide forming material.
