The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for detecting multi targets of an FMCW radar. According to the present invention, in a method for detecting multi targets of an FMCW radar using a multi target detecting apparatus of the FMCW radar, provided are a method for detecting multi targets of an FMCW radar including the steps of: transmitting a transmission signal including a first and a second triangular wave signal with different periods to a plurality of targets and acquiring a receiving signal reflected from the target; acquiring an up bit frequency and a down bit frequency from the difference between the transmission signal and the receiving signal according to the triangular wave signal; acquiring a first crossover coordinate by mapping the first up bit frequency and the first down bit frequency corresponding to the first triangular wave signal to a distance-speed diagram; acquiring a second crossover coordinate by mapping a second up bit frequency and a second down bit frequency corresponding to the second triangular wave signal to the distance-speed diagram; and extracting a distance and a speed of the target from a synthesis coordinate calculated by using the first crossover coordinate and the second crossover coordinate. According to the method and the apparatus for detecting multi targets of the FMCW radar, detection efficiency and accuracy of multi targets can be increased by using a method of combining the detection result obtained as to two triangular wave signals with different periods over two steps, and generation of a ghost target can be minimized.

PURPOSE: A target decision device using radar and a method thereof are provided to accurately determine multiple targets. CONSTITUTION: A target decision device (100) using radar comprises a bit signal generator (110), a bit frequency extractor (120), and a determining unit (140). The bit signal generator produces a bit signal using a radar transmission signal and a radar reception signal for one or more targets. The bit frequency extractor extracts up-bit frequency and down-bit frequency from the produced bit signal. A power spectral density calculation unit calculates power spectrum density in every predetermined frequency cell sections for the extracted up-bit frequency and down-bit frequency. The determining unit determines whether the target is the same target or not using the similarity between power spectrum densities of the up-bit frequency and the down-bit frequency. A target position calculation unit calculates the position of the target in a frequency cell section in which the similarity between power spectrum densities of the up-bit frequency and the down-bit frequency is higher than a reference similarity value. PURPOSE: A pulse radar receiving device and a method for detecting pulse radar are provided to efficiently use a memory size which is necessary by reducing counting amount which is necessary for extracting the distance and speed of a detection object. CONSTITUTION: A pulse radar receiving device(100) comprises a switch(105), a memory(110), an FFT processing unit(120), and a distance velocity extracting unit(130). The switch transfers one distance gate about each sample. The memory assigns pulse within a pulse repetition interval to the distance gate in a column direction. The FFT processing unit frequency-changes pulse data which is saved in the memory to the column direction. The distance velocity extracting unit measures phase change which is changed by a target object at pulse repetition interval and estimates the speed of the target object.

PURPOSE: A movement target detection method and apparatus are provided to accurately detect a movement target without demanding many signal processing amounts. CONSTITUTION: A distributed matrix storage unit stores a bit signal in a distributed matrix. A horizontal axis of the distributed matrix is frequency and a longitudinal axis of the distributed matrix is a SRI(Sweep Repetition Interval) index. A movement target detection unit(130) eliminates a clutter component based on the distributed matrix and detects from a bit signal which is saved in the distributed matrix to a bit signal corresponding to a movement target component. The clutter component comprises a frequency component corresponding to a pause target in which frequency position change is less than a specified level.

PURPOSE: A target distance and speed detecting method using a radar that accurately detects a plurality of targets, an apparatus thereof, and a recording medium thereof readable by a computer are provided to detect bit frequencies having correlation by combining available bit frequencies. CONSTITUTION: A signal converter(310) frequency-modulates the transmission signal of the radar for a plurality of targets. A frequency detector(320) detects an up-beat frequency, a down-beat frequency, and a doppler frequency. A correlation frequency candidate detector(330) detects a correlation frequency candidate set.

거리 검출 방법 및 이를 이용한 레이더 장치가 제공된다. 이 방법은 (a) 복수의 주파수 스윕 시퀀스들 - 복수의 부기간(sub-duration)들에 일대일 맵핑되는 주파수 스윕들로 이루어짐 - 중 어느 하나를 할당 받는 단계; (b) 상기 할당된 주파수 스윕 시퀀스에 따라 주파수 변조된 신호를 생성하여 송신하는 단계; (c) 상기 송신된 신호의 반사파를 포함하는 신호를 수신하는 단계; (d) 상기 송신된 신호와 상기 수신된 신호로부터 얻어지는 비트 신호를 상기 복수의 부기간 동안 주파수 분석하여 첨두 주파수를 검출하는 단계; 및 (e) 상기 검출된 첨두 주파수를 기초로, 상기 송신된 신호를 반사시킨 대상 물체와의 거리를 검출하는 단계를 포함한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 다중 사용자에 따른 간섭 신호를 줄일 수 있어 보다 정확한 거리 검출을 수행할 수 있으며, 그 결과, 차량 안전 운행 등에 기여할 수 있다.
