    Abstract: PURPOSE: A shunt attenuator reduces vibrations and noises of a flexible body structure by interlinking a converter to an external shunt circuit. CONSTITUTION: A shunt damper comprises a converter(120) and an external shunt circuit(130). The converter is attached to the fixed part of a flexible body structure(110) in a beam pattern. The converter is made of the ionic high molecule metal complex. The converter controls vibrations of the flexible body structure by changing the vibration energy of the flexible body structure to electric energy. The external shunt circuit is connected to both ends of the converter. The external shunt circuit comprises a resistor and an equal inductor.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A vibration damper using eddy current is provided to efficiently damp vibration of a vibrating structure and reduce manufacturing costs and installation costs by controlling the damper without contact. CONSTITUTION: A vibration damper using eddy current comprises a vibrating structure(100) and a magnetic member. The vibrating structure has electric conductance. The magnetic member forms eddy current when the vibrating structure vibrates. A through-hole is formed in the magnetic member. A part of the vibrating structure is positioned within a through hole of the magnetic force member without contact. The vibrating structure has the shape of a tube.
