PURPOSE: Multimedia contents searching method and system of home network are provided to generate searching equations based on a keyword list which is obtained by extracting the characteristic value of multimedia contents and keywords. CONSTITUTION: One or more characteristic values are extracted from multimedia contents(S101). The contents of the characteristic values are extracted as keywords(S103). The keyword list of the keywords is generated(S105). Searching equations for searching the multimedia contents are obtained using the keyword list(S205). When the searching equations are obtained, the keywords contained in the keyword list are used.

PURPOSE: An AV device capable of remote control by a touch screen device and the touch screen device used for the same are provided to promote the development of various services and improve user's convenience by supporting the remote control of the AV device by a remote controller. CONSTITUTION: A controller registry(118) matches and stores model names and screen specifications about various kinds of touch screen devices. A menu information extractor(112) extracts menu information from a broadcast signal. A controller menu screen organizer(114) reconfigures the extracted menu information suitably for the screen specification of a corresponding touch screen device and transfers the reconfigured menu information with coordinate values to a wireless communications module(130). A selected menu checkup unit(116) receives a menu item which an external touch screen device(200) selects from the wireless communications module and confirms the menu item.

PURPOSE: A system for recommending a broadcast program and a method thereof are provided to offer a broadcast recommend service by grasping the watching pattern of a user. CONSTITUTION: A content list providing unit offers information about broadcast programs which are selected by user preference information. A specific broadcast program is selected. A text providing unit(102) offers text information about the selected broadcast program. An image providing unit(106) offers image information about the broadcast program. A video providing unit(108) offers video data about the broadcast program.

PURPOSE: A personalized broadcasting retransmission device and a remote controlling method for supporting a home network for controlling the home network while maintaining compatibility with existing UPnP regulations are provided to control the personalized broadcasting retransmission device through home networking by operating the personalized broadcasting retransmission device to a media server. CONSTITUTION: A network interface module performs a connection with a home network. A middleware module(260) controls a private broadcast retransmission device and acts as a media server. A channel confirmation module(270) confirms a channel index value in an URL received from a control point. A tuner control module(220) controls a tuner based on the confirmed channel index value.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for providing a united contents list of a home network are provided to efficiently reduce the unnecessary packet transfer of a network and the unnecessary action of a user by providing a united list for all contents lists in a home network. CONSTITUTION: A collection module(110) collects a contents list from media servers(200) providing contents to a home network system. A CP(Control Point)(300) which is a device for controlling the multimedia sharing in the home network system provides the CP with the collected contents list. The collection module transfers a contents list providing command to the media servers based on an UPnP(Universal Plug & Play) protocol.

PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing a customized advertisement service based on a rule, and a method for servicing customized advertisement contents are provided to select advertisements to which each user can prefer, thereby providing a differentiated advertisement service according to each user. CONSTITUTION: A metadata generator(110) generates rule metadata including a broadcast schedule of advertisement contents according to each user using personal information of a user and feature information of advertisement contents. A provider(120) provides the rule metadata and the advertisement contents corresponding to the rule metadata based on intrinsic information of the users. A storage unit(130) stores the rule metadata generated by each user.
