Abstract: 본 발명은 언어 교차 검색 시스템에 관한 것으로서, 제안된 언어 교차 검색 시스템은 다양한 언어로 구성된 데이터베이스들로부터 사전 파일들을 수집하고, 상기 사전 파일들을 기준 언어로 변환하여 기준 언어로 변환된 사전 파일들을 획득하는 사전 파일 수집부와, 입력된 검색어가 기준 언어인지 판단하고, 상기 검색어가 기준 언어가 아닌 경우 상기 검색어를 기준 언어로 변환하는 검색어 변환부와, 기준 언어의 검색어를 사용하여 기준 언어로 변환된 사전 파일들로부터 상기 검색어에 해당하는 검색 정보를 수집하는 검색부와, 상기 수집된 검색 정보를 미리 설정된 언어로 변환하여 출력하는 검색어 변환부를 포함한다. 그러므로 본 발명에서 제안된 언어 교차 검색 시스템을 사용하면 다양한 언어로 구성된 검색어를 사용하여 정보를 검색하거나 다양한 언어로 검색된 검색 정보를 사용자에게 제공하는 것이 가능하다는 효과를 갖는다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and a system for cross language search are provided to search information using search terms in multiple languages. CONSTITUTION: A dictionary file collector(150) collects dictionary files from databases consisting of multiple languages. The dictionary file collector translates the dictionary files to a reference language. A search term translating unit(110) determines whether an inputted search term is the reference language or not. If the search term is not the reference language, the search term translating unit translates the search term to the reference language. A search unit(120) collects searching information which matches with the search terms from the translated dictionary files in the reference language. A search result information translating unit(130) translates the collected searching information to a predetermined language.
