Abstract: PURPOSE: A mail information management method is provided to update the address information of an addressee using the address change information input by a postman or the addressee, thereby reducing the amount of redeliveries and returns and thus improving the mail delivery efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A reception information management unit receives mail delivery information and the phone number information of an addressee (S101). An addressee information management unit stores the address information of the addressee based on the phone number information of the addressee (S102). When a postman terminal device obtains the address change information of the addressee (S103), the postman terminal device sends the obtained address change information of the addressee to a mail information management server (S104). The addressee information management unit of the mail information management server updates and stores the address information of the addressee (S105).
