A mail sorting system, according to an embodiment, is capable of facilitating the transfer of mail to a preset position on a cross belt. The provided embodiment includes: a cross belt drive unit which drives a motor linked with the cross belt to transfer mail to a distinctive destination; a detector which is arranged on a conveyor belt to transfer the mail onto the cross belt which outputs a detection signal which corresponds to at least one of the length of the mail and lateral position; and a control unit, based on the detection signal, delivers motor control signals, including at least one of a rotational velocity and the number of rotation of the motor, to the cross belt drive unit for the mail to be transferred to a preset position on the cross belt.

A mail sorting system according to an embodiment of the present invention is to easily release a mail from a target release point by arranging the led mail in the predetermined area of a cross belt, and comprises: a detecting part outputting a detection signal for the length of the mail led on a conveyor belt; a cross belt driving part controlling a motor interlocked with the cross belt including a central area in which the mail is arranged to be moved from the conveyor belt and a first and a second area adjacent to both sides of the central area; and a control part transmitting a motor control signal to the cross belt driving part, wherein the motor control signal controls at least one of the rotation number and the rotation speed of the motor based on the detection signal in order to arrange the mail in one among the central area, the first area, and the second area.

PURPOSE: A baggage processing system using an RFID tag and a method thereof are provided to quickly confirm baggage of passengers by displaying a baggage number matched with an RFID tag identification number by using the RFID tag identification number. CONSTITUTION: An RFID recognizing terminal (100) recognizes tag information of an RFID tag matched with baggage. A baggage management device (200) receives the tag information from the RFID recognizing terminal and searches for passenger identification information matched with the tag information in order to transmit the passenger identification information and the tag information (300).
