Abstract: The present invention relates to a device and a method for transmitting multiple carriers to provide a high-quality service required for terminals using a multicast-based service. A multi-carrier transmission method for a multicast service in a base station using a multi-input/multi-output method according to the present invention comprises the following steps: a mapping step individually mapping first multicast data and second multicast data, which is different from the first multicast data, onto each antenna which is to transmit the data; an intermediate frequency conversion step for converting the first data signal and the second data signal into a predetermined intermediate frequency; a first radio processing step converting the first data signal, which is up-converted to the intermediate frequency, into the frequency of one carrier among nearby multiple carriers, and determining transmission power of the radio signal in order to enable the signal to reach the entire coverage area of a base station. and a second radio processing step converting the second data signal, which is up-converted to the intermediate frequency, into the frequency of another carrier among the nearby multiple carriers, and determining transmission power of the radio signal to be equal to or less than a predetermined threshold value in order to enable the signal to reach only a nearby coverage area of the base station.
