PURPOSE: A failure simulator apparatus of a network control management system is provided to embody a failure treatment function for real network equipment and a related communication function test. CONSTITUTION: The failure simulator apparatus(100) of a network control management system(270) includes a failure information processor(210), an interface unit(220), a data loading unit(230), a conversion processor(240), and an object data generator(250). The failure information processor changes the failure information configuration file of heterogeneous equipment into the management information of a structure form. The interface unit transfers a message including the converted management information to the network control management system.

A method for recognizing a policy control target equipment and controlling a hierarchical policy to offer the IP communication service and an apparatus thereof are provided to extract access network configuration information dynamically, and improve the control method for policies related to component equipments within an access network. A subscriber IP address receiver(810) receives the IP address of a subscriber terminal in which an IP packet network connection is authenticated. A path tracking unit(820) traces the path to the subscriber terminal by using the received IP address of the subscriber terminal as a destination. A equipment detecting unit(830) detects equipments comprising an access network which are connected to the subscriber terminal from the result of the path tracing. A policy control unit(840) controls IP communications service policies related to the detected equipments.

Provided are a method and an apparatus for periodically measuring speech quality in a voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) terminal while a VoIP call between VoIP terminals is in progress. The method comprises: receiving summary information regarding traffic sent from an opposite VoIP terminal; and evaluating speech quality by comparing the summary information with actually received information regarding the traffic sent from the opposite VoIP. Accordingly, each VoIP terminal can precisely evaluate the speech quality periodically and send the evaluation result to each other.

A network control method using service characteristics according to the present invention, which is performed in a software defined network (SDN) by a network control system, includes: a global authentication performing step of performing certification for approving access of a network subscriber; a mapping performing step of confirming a user subscribed service based on a user profile according to the authentication result and confirming a service profile to obtain a subscriber request service; a preprocessing step of setting a logical path to provide a user orientation target service; and a network defining step of defining a network by combining information about the logical path obtained in the preprocessing step and setting a policy as the SDN.

PURPOSE: A load balancing apparatus and a load balancing method thereof are provided to distribute a load balancing function to multiple components for preventing the load balancing apparatus from being overloaded. CONSTITUTION: A balancing unit (120) determines at least one server among multiple physical servers included in a server farm as a target server to provide a client a service. The balancing unit determines a forwarding path between the target server and the client and a forwarding rule in respect of the forwarding path. A network unit (110) is positioned on the forwarding path. The network unit comprises at least one or more switches. At least one or more switches forwards a data packet received from the client to the target server on reference to the forwarding rule.

PURPOSE: A network simulation device and a method for testing a network including BSP-NCP are provided to perform performance and function evaluation of BSP-NCP through the network, thereby easily testing the performance and the function of BSP-NCP. CONSTITUTION: A database stores MIB(Management Information Base) information for virtual construction and operation of a network. CLI(Command Line Interface) interface(220) receives stimulation command of a user or outputs stimulation result value. By responding the stimulation command, a CLI processing unit(230) stimulates access authentication of subscriber using BEP-NCP(Business Service Provider-Network Control Platform) after virtual construction of the network through the MIB information.
