Abstract: 저작권 침해 여부를 용이하게 식별할 수 있고, 저작권을 효과적으로 보호할 수 있는 출판물의 핑거프린트 추출 방법, 출판물의 핑거프린트 추출 장치, 핑거프린트를 이용한 출판물 식별 시스템 및 핑거프린트를 이용한 출판물 식별 방법이 개시된다. 핑거프린트를 이용한 출판물 식별 시스템은 저작권 침해를 식별하기 위해 수집된 질의 출판물에 대한 핑거프린트를 추출하는 핑거프린트 추출 장치와, 핑거프린트 추출 장치로부터 제공된 질의 출판물에 대한 핑거프린트에 해당하는 원본 출판물의 핑거프린트를 질의하는 핑거프린트 질의 장치와, 원본 출판물로부터 추출된 핑거프린트 및 원본 출판물의 부가 정보가 저장되고 핑거프린트 질의 장치의 질의에 상응하여 적어도 하나의 원본 출판물의 핑거프린트로 구성된 검색결과 후보군을 제공하는 DBMS 및 DBMS로부터 제공된 검색결과 후보군을 검증하여 질의 출판물의 저작권 침해 여부를 판단하는 후보군 검증 장치를 포함한다. 따라서, 출판물의 저작권 침해 여부를 용이하게 식별할 수 있고, 이를 통해 저작권 침해를 예방할 수 있다.
