Abstract: PURPOSE: A transmission device for tracing a location, a receiving device, and a position tracing method are provided to trace the location of an object even if an RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) tag is gotten out of from a certain area in which a reader is included. CONSTITUTION: A transmission device(200) comprises a GPS information processor(210), a transmission frame generator(220), and a signal transmission part(230). The GPS information processor receives GPS information from a plurality of satellites. The transmission frame generator generates a transmission frame. The transmission frame comprises the satellite time data of each satellite, the satellite identification data of each satellite, and the receiving time data of each satellite, and device identification data. The signal transmission part puts a modulated transmission frame onto a carrier wave frequency and transmits the frame to a receiving device through an antenna.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) reader and a method for controlling a gain thereof are provided to maintain the gain of a signal of an RFID tag at a predetermined size. CONSTITUTION: An RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification System) reader(10) comprises an amplifier(111) and an AGC(Auto Gain Control) circuit(240). In correspondence to an ACG signal, the amplifier controls the gain of the signal received from an RFID tag. Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for passive RFID security according to a security mode is provided to drive security protocol according to a current security mode of the RFID tag after the RFID tag transfers the current security mode to a reader. CONSTITUTION: If the first random number, protocol control information, extended protocol control information and unique item identification information is received form a RFID(Radio Frequency Identification System) tag, the RFID reader requests the second random number(S140,S150).
