Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for controlling a machine type communication(MTC) device and a wireless communication system using the method are provided to prevent the loss or the robbery of MTC devices by managing and tracking the MTC devices. CONSTITUTION: An MTC user manages MTC devices(110). A home subscriber server(230) verifies the MTC devices and implements an authenticating process with respect to the user. An MTC server(300) provides services corresponding to the characteristics of the MTC devices by including registration information with respect to the MTC devices. The MTC server requests the state reports of the MTC devices after the registration of the MTC devices and the authentication of the user and transmits the received state information of the MTC devices to the user.
