Abstract: PURPOSE: A phosphorous-nitrogen compound is provided to have excellent heat resistance and water resistance, and to have excellent flame retardancy because of oxygen barrier effect by the generation of carbon dioxide due to the combination of phosphorous-nitrogen and the decomposition of oxazolinone. CONSTITUTION: A phosphorous-nitrogen compound comprises an oxazolinone derivative in chemical formula 1. A manufacturing method of the phosphorous-nitrogen compound comprises a step of manufacturing a compound in chemical formula 1 by reacting the oxazolinone derivative and a compound in chemical formula 5. The oxazolinone derivative is 2-oxazolinone, or 2- benzoxazolinone. The flame retardant compostion comprises oxazolinone derivative in chemical formula 1, and a polymer resin.
