Abstract: PURPOSE: A shift control method at failure of a one-way clutch for an automatic transmission in a vehicle is provided to prevent breakage of a power train and improve travel stability by holding the speed range at the low range in locking the sprag of the one-way clutch to the race and by traveling at 1-range. CONSTITUTION: Failure of synchronization at the 1-range during traveling is detected(S110), and the 1-speed range combination duty control signal combining the brake factor as the reaction factor is output at failure of the 1-range synchronization(S120). Failure of the 1-range synchronization is decided again(S130), and failure of the 2-range synchronization is decided after finishing the 1-range synchronization(S150). The sub routine is performed to detect fault of the 1-2 one-way clutch in detecting the end of the 2-range synchronization(S170).
