Abstract: PURPOSE: A hood hinge having a function of a hood stay rod for a vehicle is provided to keep a hood off by hanging a hook part of a pole on a protrusion of a latch. CONSTITUTION: A hood hinge having a function of a hood stay rod for a vehicle comprises a car body bracket(100), a hinge arm(200), a pole(300), a link(400), a striker(500) and a latch(600). The car body bracket comprises a first side(110) and a second side(120). The hinge arm comprises a fixed surface(210) and a combining surface(220). The combining surface is expanded from the fixed surface and is pivotally combined with the second side. The pole is combined in the second side to rotate with a pole spring and has a hook part(310). The link comprises a first link module(410) and a second link module(420). The first and second links are combined with one another with a hinge pin(430). The striker is combined in the combining surface of the inner side of the car body. The latch comprises a groove part(610) and a protrusion(620). The groove part accepts the striker in the hinge arm rotation. The other end of the latch is connected to the car body bracket with a latch spring.
