Abstract: PURPOSE: A magnesium alloy for casting having excellent creep resistance is provided to secure high-temperature strength through the control of the adding rate of alloying elements. CONSTITUTION: A magnesium alloy for casting having excellent creep resistance comprises Al 6.0-8.5 weight%, Ca 0.9-1.7 weight%, Mn 0.1-0.5 weight%, rare earth metal 0.4-2.5 weight%, Sr 0.01-0.15 weight%, residual magnesium and inevitable impurities.
