Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for coining a con-rod is provided to prevent the big end of a con-rod from becoming deformed by controlling the formation of residual stress. CONSTITUTION: A method for coining a con-rod is as follows. A con-rod(10) is formed so that a notch unit(18) with a notch groove(17) can be integrally formed in the center of a sank unit(16), which connects the big and small ends of the rod. The surface of the sank unit of the con-rod is coined by applying a load to the surface of the sank unit using coining equipment(20). After the con-rod is coined, the notch unit formed in the sank unit of the con-rod is eliminated.
