Abstract: A shift system of an automatic transmission is provided to improve the driving efficiency and traveling performance of a vehicle by measuring the weight of the vehicle without an additional sensor and choosing a shift pattern corresponding to the weight of the vehicle. In an automatic transmission conversion method for measuring the state of a vehicle and determining the shift timing of a transmission unit by operation of a TCU(Transmission Control Unit) receiving a measured value, a shift system of the automatic transmission controls the transmission by selecting a shift pattern map of the transmission unit by using the calculated weight of the vehicle as a control element. A vehicle weight calculation method comprises a step for measuring tire pressure of the vehicle(S100) and a step for calculating reference tire pressure and the weight of the vehicle by using the measured tire pressure, checking whether a starting key is inserted or not and a door is opened or closed, and measuring the fuel amount of a fuel tank(S200).
