    Abstract: A multilayer optical film includes a plurality of polymeric first layers numbering at least 10 in total where each of the first layers has an average thickness less than about 500 nm. For a p-polarized incident light, and for each of a first incident angle and a second incident angle greater than the first incident angle by at least about 40 degrees: a reflectance of each of the optical film and the plurality of polymeric first layers versus wavelength has a reflection band having a left band edge (LBE) at a short wavelength side of the reflection band and a right band edge (RBE) at a long wavelength side of the reflection band. A separation between the RBEs is less than a separation between the LBEs for the first incident angle, and a separation between the RBEs is greater than a separation between the LBEs for the second incident angle.

    Abstract: An optical film includes a plurality of first layers disposed on a plurality of polymeric second layers. Each of at least 30% of the first layers includes at least 30% by weight of an inorganic material. For a substantially normally incident light, a blue wavelength range extending from about 420 mn to about 480 m, a green wavelength range extending from about 490 nm to about 560 in, and a red wavelength range extending from about 590 nm to about 670 nm, the optical film and the plurality of second layers have respective average optical reflectances Rof(b) and R2(b) in the blue wavelength range, Rof(g) and R2(g) in the green wavelength range, and Rof(r) and R2(r) in the red wavelength range, where 0≤Rof(b)−R2(b)≤25%; Rof(g)−R2(g)>30%; and each of Rof(r) and R2(r) is greater than about 60% and |Rof(r)−R2(r)| is less than about 20%.

    Abstract: A multilayer optical film includes a plurality of optical repeat units where each of the optical repeat units includes at least individual first and second layers. The first and second layers in each of the optical repeat units have respective indices of refraction n1 and n2 and corresponding respective f-ratios f1 and f2 along a same in-plane first direction for a same first visible wavelength in a visible wavelength range extending from about 420 nm to about 680 nm, where n1>n2, and one of f1 and f2 is between about 0.55 and about 0.80. For illuminant D65 light incident on the multilayer optical film, the multilayer optical film reflects and transmits the incident light with the reflected and transmitted lights having color shifts below specified limits in a CIE L*a*b* color space. A glass laminate includes the multilayer optical film disposed between glass layers.

    Abstract: A multilayer optical film includes a plurality of optical repeat units which may number less than about 175 in total and which may have a combined average thickness of less than about 20 micrometers. Each of the optical repeat units includes at least four individual layers which may include at least one polymeric A layer, at least two B layers, and at least one polymeric C layer. At least one layer in the at least four individual layers can have an average thickness of less than about 50 nm. An interlayer adhesion of the individual layers in the plurality of optical repeat units can be at least about 14 grams per inch when measured at a 90 degree peel angle. The multilayer optical film may be a reflective polarizer or a multilayer optical mirror.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a radiative cooling article including a white diffusely reflective microporous layer and a non-white color reflective mirror film having first and second optical layers. The white diffusely reflective microporous layer has a solar weighted reflectivity at normal incidence of electromagnetic radiation over a majority of wavelengths in a range of 350 nanometers (nm) to 2500 nm of 0.8 or greater, 0.85, 0.9, or 0.95 or greater. The non-white color reflective film is disposed adjacent to a major surface of the white diffusely reflective microporous layer and the non-white color reflective film reflects a wavelength bandwidth of at least 30 nm within a wavelength range of 350 nm to 700 nm. The non-white color reflective film can be tuned to reflect light of a specific color (e.g., blue light, green light, or red light). The radiative cooling article may be useful for applications including commercial graphics located outdoors (e.g., on vehicles or buildings). The present disclosure further provides a composite cooling article including the radiative cooling article attached to a vehicle or a trailer. Also, the present disclosure provides a multi-surface passive cooling article including first and second elements in which at least one of the elements includes the radiative cooling article.
