Abstract: The method involves passing the flow over a sensor element (1) with a heating arrangement (1a) for altering the temperature and a sensor element (1b) for determining its temperature. The heating arrangement is operated at least occasionally with a heating power in the form of heating pulses and a flow-dependent threshold time is measured until a defined temperature threshold is reached. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: an arrangement for implementing the inventive method.

Abstract: The invention relates to a gas meter for determining the consumption of a ga s mixture. The inventive gas meter determines sensor signal values proportionately in relation to a throughflow rate and is adjusted for use as an energy-measuring device. The adjustment is based on a base mixture. When the consumption of gas is measured, a measured energy consumption value is multiplied with a correction factor which takes into account the heating val ue of a particular gas mixture at least approximately. This heating value is determined by an external unit. This enables the effective energy relationsh ip to be established for the gas consumption using a simple, economical gas meter. An invoice can then be produced according to this relationship.

Abstract: A sensor with a wireless power supply includes, as a sensor unit, a resonant circuit having a capacitance and a coil, the coil being used not only for measurement but also for reception of electromagnetic waves for supplying power to the sensor. In a first preferred embodiment of the invention, the sensor has a filter for frequency separation of the sensor signal into a supply component and payload signal component. In such a case, the sensor can be supplied during a measurement. In a second preferred embodiment of the invention, the sensor has a changeover switch for time separation of the sensor signal into the supply component and the payload signal component. In such a case, the sensor is supplied on an alternating cycle with a measurement.
