Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pyrometer which is suitable for measuring a temperature especially inside a gas turbine. SOLUTION: A pyrometer 20 is provided with a flexible light-guide measuring probe 21 which comprises a microlens 22 resistant to a high temperature and an optical fiber 24 which is composed of quartz or sapphire. The microlens 22 and the fiber 24 are provided with gold sheaths 25, 26 and/or protective capillaries 27, 28. A thermal radiation is evaluated by a detector 32 in a remote place. The detector 32 is provided with a measuring circuit 33 which is connected to it. The pyrometer 20 is distribguished by its compactness, its high- temperature performance, its flexibility, its multidirectional installation property and its high measuring accuracy.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measure taken to stabilize a flame in a burner to a maximum limit. SOLUTION: The burner for a heat generator is provided. The burner comprises at least one premixing zone at an upstream side of a combustion chamber 30. The zone has a means 100 for generating a vortex flow of combustion air. At least one fuel injector 116 is provided in the zone. A sensor 400 is provided at a downstream side of the injector 116. The sensor 400 detects back fires 81, 80 of a premixing flame 50 in the burner from the chamber 30 to start fuel controlling.

Abstract: The proximity sensor cooperates with a trigger (4), an LC resonant circuit (1) and a frequency generator (3). The sensor has an analysis circuit (5) for determining a component, independent of the trigger material, of a complex system parameter dependent on the position and the material of the triggering object (4). The system parameter can be e.g. the impedance of the LC circuit, the amplitude of oscillation or a voltage distribution between the oscillation circuit and a series resistance. An Independent claim is included for a proximity sensor.

Abstract: The switch (10) includes a switching unit (11), having at least two switching states which can be read remotely via a wireless link, and at least one coding unit. An antenna (13) receives and transmits electromagnetic waves. The antenna is operatively connected to only one coding unit (12) in dependence on the state of the switching unit. The coding unit may be a SAW filter. The switch may comprise just one coding unit, and the switching unit may be an on/off switch. Alternatively the switch may comprise two coding units, and a change-over switch. Independent claims are included for a system for wireless remote reading a switch state, and a method of remotely reading a switch state.

The fibre and the sensor head have a flexible covering. A gas turbine for generation of electricity is also claimed. A method for monitoring a gas turbine using the high-temperature pyrometer is also claimed.
