Abstract: The bobbin according to the invention has normal dimensions, but contains a long length of optical fibre. It consists of a main cylindrical support (12) around which is wound a first part (18) of the optical fibre (16) which is intended to be unwound by traction. It consists of a first additional cylindrical support (14) which is concentric to and placed inside the main cylindrical support (12), a second part (20) of the optical fibre (16) being wound around this first additional support (14), the inner layer of the first part (18) of the optical fibre (16) being directly connected to an outer layer of the second part (20) of the optical fibre (16). Application to very long range missiles.

Abstract: A missile to be launched at low speed from a tube and equipped with a propellant system of the combustible propulsive charge type is characterised in that the propulsion system (1a, 1b, 2) is determined and positioned so that it can furnish the missile I at one and the same time with axial propulsive thrust and the forces for manoeuvring under powered guidance, so that the variation of position of the centre of gravity G of the missile I along its axis L - L as a function of the combustion of the propulsive charge is such that, at the exit of the missile from tube 7, the centre of gravity G passes through the line of action of the said manoeuvring forces and so that, during flight, generative torques of aerodynamic incidence are allowed to occur producing manoeuvring forces adding to those of powered guidance. The missile may be used with an anti-tank weapon system.
