Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that, in the case of spindle coating to coat a relatively small object being rotated, there is wastefulness in air supply or exhaust in an apparatus for sucking and collecting overspray mist and that, in the case of automated coating, there is no apparatus capable of adapting the ranges of air supply and exhaust though the spray position or range is predetermined. SOLUTION: In a spindle coating system, a local exhaust apparatus having an opening with the minimum necessary size and corresponding to a spray gun is installed at the rear of a rotating object to be coated. A clean air supply apparatus is set at the back side of the spray gun. Thus is provided such a coating environment that the amount of exhaust air to be treated is small and direct does not deposit on a coated object. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
